Changes to the International Building Code (IBC) make cross-laminated timber an increasingly affordable and sustainable option, particularly for programs that lend themselves to modularity. Commissioned by Concordia University as part of a research seminar, this proposal for three mass timber residence halls explores the scalar qualities of CLT in forming a modular system as part of a campus master plan.
